A FAMILY WELCOME
Monika Hotel has welcomed guests to Sidari for forty summers. It is run, as it has always been run, by our family — modest in scale, generous in spirit. You will be greeted by name, your suitcase carried up the steps, the first coffee poured before you've quite remembered to ask.
The hotel sits a short stroll from the sea, tucked away from the busier streets of the village. Days here move slowly. Guests read under the pines, swim, drift back for a long lunch, and rest again before evening.
We speak Greek, English, a little German and a little French — enough to make you feel at home, whichever corner of Europe you arrived from. More than six in ten of our guests return another summer. That, more than anything, is what we are proud of.
With love, from our family to yours,
The Monika Family
A returning guest, summer 2024
We came once, by accident. We have come back for nine summers since. It is the people more than the place — though the place is very beautiful too.
THE ROOMS
Our rooms are quiet and unfussy. White walls, wooden floors, soft linens, and a balcony where the morning is best spent slowly. Many look out across the gardens to a sliver of Ionian blue.

"There is nothing to do here, in the best possible way."

A quiet room with a double or twin beds, a balcony overlooking the garden or sea, and everything you need for restful days.
A spacious room with three single beds or a double and a single, ideal for friends or a family with one child. Balcony, air conditioning and daily service.
HOSPITALITY
We are quiet about ourselves. We let our guests speak.
The kind of small kindnesses you only find in family-run places. A second pillow before we asked. A jug of cold water on the balcony in the heat.
Our children were welcomed as if they were grandchildren of the house. We left calmer than we have left anywhere in years.
Sidari can be busy in August. Monika Hotel cannot — it is its own quiet world, ten minutes from everything and far from it all.
AT THE TABLE
"Sit a little longer. Have one more piece of bread."
Breakfast and dinner are served on the shaded terrace, with a changing buffet built around what the garden and the local market offer that week — sun-warm tomatoes, oregano picked the same morning, olives pressed nearby, fish brought up from the harbour.
Our chef has been with the family for as long as anyone can remember. He cooks generously, and is always happy to put something together for vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free guests. Children eat what the grown-ups eat, only smaller.

AROUND THE HOTEL
Sidari is the kind of place that rewards an unplanned day. Take the path to the beach in the morning, find a shaded café for lunch, and let the cliffs above the Canal d'Amour catch the last of the sun.
Seven minutes on foot. Long, gentle, family-friendly.
Sculpted sandstone coves a short walk west - the most photographed corner of Corfu.
Family-run kitchens where evenings stretch comfortably past midnight.
Mountain villages, olive groves and quiet bays, all within a half-hour drive.
COME AND STAY
Write, call, or simply book your room - we will take care of the rest. Messages are answered personally, usually within a day, often the same afternoon.
